Jonathan Campbell creates meticulously crafted bronzes. Campbell's works make a contemporary 'Momento Mori', a memorial for the everyday person. Capturing the decisive moment of somebodies last humble gesture.
Jonathan graduated with a Diploma of fine Arts from Whitireia Polytechnic in New Zealand and has been working in bronze for over twenty years. During this time he has received numerous Creative New Zealand grants and awards for his work. Campbell has been a Wallace National Art Awards finalist five times and is included in Warwick Brown's 'Seen This Century: 100 Contemporary New Zealand Artists'. His work can be found in significant private collections nationwide, as well as the Wellington City Council and Wallace Arts Trust Collections.
