Mary-Louise Browne challenges conventional ways of seeing and reading, exploring and experimenting with the visual qualities of language. In her avante garde neon works she makes intellectual and visceral comments on text and on concepts, as she investigates the sculptural material and the metaphorical visual power of language.
Mary-Louise Browne graduated with a masters of Fine Arts (First Class honours) from Elam School of Fine Arts in 1982. She has exhibitied extensively, both nationally and internationally, and is represented in major public and university collections throughout the country.
